Hello,

puzzling for days on this issue, no way to boot win7, bsod every time, what i can try?

Some details like the Host OS, Guest OS Version (Servicepack ...), VMware Workstation Version, etc. may help.
Please also attach the VM's latest vmware.log to your next reply, to find out whether it contains helpful information.

Hi its the clone of a physical working machine.

There are some entries in the configuration (.vmx) file that do not make sense to me.

• "GELDOC.vmdk" is connected to two different virtual controllers, ide0:1, and scsi0:0.
• Another .vmdk is connected to ide0:0
• the same ISO image is connected to 2 sata ports

What did you select as the target disk controller/type while converting the system?

Assuming that "GELDOC.vmdk" is the virtual disk, which is supposed to be the system disk, please run:

Get-Content 'GELDOC.vmdk' -Encoding Byte -TotalCount 1536 | Format-Hex

to extract the disk descriptor, and post the result.

Btw. you didn't say what the BSOD is about. Is it "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE"?
