VM Workstation Player with 10GigEth ethernet adapter card

Hello everybody! I have an issue that I'm working on since a few time ago and I couldn't find a solution.

I have tried to use a virtual machine (VM Workstation Player) with windows 10 intalled in it to use a 10GigEth ethernet adapter card that I have connected to the host. In the options of the virtual ethernet card that VMWare create inside the virtual machine, I can't see the 10 Gbps option, we only have 1.0 Gbps option.
Can I use a 10GigEth ethernet adapter card with this Software? If so, how can I do it?

Not sure Player supports 10Gbps directly attached. If you set up a bridged network to your host and use the 10gbs this way it should work.

Realize that the guest VM uses an emulated network card, and therefore the speed label is merely that - a label.  All network traffic is performed by the CPU, and is not speed limited by whatever physical NIC you have being used.
