V;ware PLayer 3.1.4 - Win2008 R2 on a dumb old notebook

Tomorrow I have an important presentation, but my notebook is defective. I only have a dumb old Win XP Pentium Dual wth 3GB RAM.

So, I installed VMWare Player on the notebook, copied my virtual machine to the hard disk and crossed my fingers...

Well, first I had some messages that 64bit on this hardware won't work, so I allowed to switch to 32bit. Since about 1 hour the guest OS tries to start... "Windows loads files", all the time, and the VMWare Player window hops around.

The settings of the machine look like this::

- 2352 MB RAM (very close to the max. recommended)

- 1 Processor

Any idea how I can get this to work?
