I installed VMware Player 5 on a Windows XP host.
Users member of the Administrators group can configure bridged network adapters, other users cannot.
How can I allow users that are not member of the Administrators group configure bridged network adapters and associate them to the host's network adapters?

Please create a user that is not administrator user power. That prevent them configure bridge network adapter setting.
Also make sure that user can't know the administrator password.
also have a look..

Thank you for the message.
I suspect I misposed the question: I do want that the non-administrator user can configure the bridged network adapters.
The user is not member of the "Administrators" group but is a member of the "Power users" group.
Shoud I make the user member of any further group, or assign any specific user right in order to let him configure bridged network adapters?

"Network Configuration Operators" sounds like it might be the correct group (although I don't see bridging listed in the KB article)
Thank you for the hint. I tested it, but it did not work...
