Unable to start VM in headless mode using CLI (vmrun)

Hello,

I'm trying to find a way to start my VM in headless mode from CLI

I have tried using vmrun and nogui flag but this gives me the following errors:

PS C:\Windows\System32> vmrun -T ws start "F:\VMs\VMware\Virtual Machines\UbuntuBox\UbuntuBox.vmx"
Error: Cannot connect to the virtual machine

PS C:\Windows\System32> vmrun -T ws start "F:\VMs\VMware\Virtual Machines\UbuntuBox\UbuntuBox.vmx" nogui
Error: The operation was canceled

Is it possible to run VMs in headless mode from CLI. If so how?

Same problem for me.

I get what appears to be a license error, despite paying full price for the software:
