Ubuntu Guest OS hangs most of the time with windows 10 host

Hello Community members,

My host info : Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise
Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042
RAM 64 GB

Hyper-V on host is turned off

VMware® Workstation 16 Player version : 16.2.4 build-20089737

Guest OS : Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS  (Linux vivadouser-virtual-machine 5.15.0-52-generic #58~20.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Oct 13 13:09:46 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux)
)
location: external ssd

I am attaching the Virtual machine settings
the shared folder is disabled
Attached is also the vmware log

Can some one please let me know what could be the issue (I have already tried reducing the no of processors, increasing or decreasing the RAM allocation, activating or deactivating the 3D graphics) but nothing is helping. My VM directory where its stored looks like attached snapshot.

The user from where I have copied this VM, uses VM workstation pro, could this be the issue?

Any hint will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
