Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) Desktop - English

I downloaded Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) Desktop - English and unzipped it, I want to install it on Windows XP, but i dont knw how to install it...There is a list of following files

1: Ubuntu.vmdk

2: nvram

3: Ubuntu.vmsd

4: Ubuntu.vmx

5: Ubuntu.vmxf

Can someone help me and let me know how can i install it on Windows XP, since i am windows guy and here in these files i cant see any exe file

First of all, you will have to download and install VMWare Player from the following link:

http://vmware.com/products/player/

After Player is installed, start it up, and direct it to the .vmx file that you extracted.

Should be good to go at that point.

If you have vmware product installed, then double click on .vmx or go to File > Open > point to the .vmx file.

Thanks for all of you, it worked, I actually was using the the Linux VM Ware Player , thinking that i have to use Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) lol.. Thanks all of you once again.
