Hi,
Running the following:
- Kubuntu 18.04.3 LTS 64Bit fully updated with Kernel 5.0.0-27-generic
- Intel Celeron 2GHz 4-core CPU
- 16 GB DDR3 RAM memory
- nVidia GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 PCIexpress GPU(driver v430.40)
- Western Digital 1TB HDD
I installed Windows 10 Professional 64Bit v1903 guest into current VMWare Player for Linux.
I am experiencing very high CPU use in the Win 10 guest?
(VMWare tools are installed)
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Jesse
Hi,
Disabling "Accelerate 3D graphics" in VM settings seems to have fixed the high CPU use.
But I really would like to use above option in the virtual machine.
Anyone know of a fix, thanks!
Jesse
Hi,
Really need graphic acceleration.
Want to run Unity game engine in Windows VM.
There must be a work-around?
Let me know, thanks!
Jesse
Hi Again...
I tried a different desktop below:
- Kubuntu 18.04.3 LTS 64Bit Linux OS
- Intel Core i5 3GHz 4-Core CPU
- 16GB DDR3 RAM Memory
- nVidia GeForce GTX 750 TI 2GB GDDR5 PCIexpress GPU W/ Version 340.107 Driver
- Western Digital 1TB Hard Disk Drive
HOST: Kubuntu 18.04.3 LTS 64Bit
GUEST: Windows 10 Pro 64Bit
Now have disk drive access at 100% in the virtual machine?
Again if I disable: "Accelerate 3d graphics" the issue above goes away?
Problem is I need graphic acceleration to run Unity game engine in Windows 10 VM.
Anyone have a work-around to above issue?
Thanks!
Jesse
