Hi,
New to VMWare - everything is ok apart from one problem. I am running a linux VM which is running a program called Home Assistant. A USB dongle is connected to the host and passed through to the VM, it is for wireless communication to other hardware (lights etc - think Philips Hue, that kind of thing).
It works fine, but drops at random intervals (still showing as connected to the virtual machine, but not recognised in the software). If i disconnect from the virtual machine and back to host, then disconnect from host and back to virtual machine, it picks it up again. The screengrab below shows the VMWare window error when this happens.
I am not sure if this message is telling me it is a VMware problem, or a problem in the virtual machine? Any comments to help set me off trouble shooting would be really helpful.
