Sharing USB Storage Between Host and Guest,

I have Vm Player running a Win 7 Pro OS on a win & Pro Host.

i accessed the host USB storage device via VMPlayer in the guest OS.  Once I disconnect the USB from the Guest OS, I cannot access it on the Host (meaning I need to physically pull out the USB cord then place it back in for the Host to see it once again)

I assume there is a better way for USB devices to be shared between Guest and Host please let me know

thanks

USB devices can only be controlled by one machine at a time.  You will need to use standard network file sharing.  (IOW, treat it like it were two physical machines and you needed to share the contents of the drive over the network.)
