after about 10 years of development of hosted products, it`s hard to believe that recent linux version of vmware player crashes/segfaults when a vmdk is stored on a filesytem without shared writeable mmap support, as it is the case with FUSE based filesystems very often. i`d wonder if workstation 7 is different here....
what is so hard to add a detection routine ?
and why does player crash at all here?
crashing means, that exceptions not being handled properly.
