Hi,
I'm using VMware Player 5.0 with a BackTrack5 Guest and a Windows 8 Host. I tried to connect my USB flashdrive, but when I went under removable devices, it wasn't there. The only devices there were the defaults. I tried all my ports with 2 different USB devices, but the problem persisted. The device worked fine in Virtualbox (switched because it has issues with BackTrack), so I know they work with VMs of BT5. I have all the boxes checked under USB and USB 2.0 selected. I also have all tools installed.
