Hi,
We are having a vSphere environmnet with ESX 4.0 and vCenter 4.0. want to run a VM inside one of the Guest VM by using VMware player.
And installed VMware player in one of the Guest VM. But while booting the inner VM through VMware player it is throwing an error - "Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32 bit distribution". Please let me know how can I run the VM (using VMware player) inside a VM (created on the ESX box).
Welcome to the Community,
this will not work. Running 64-bit guests require VT to be configured in the host's BIOS. Since VT is not passed through to your guest on which you run VMware Player, it is not possible to run nested 64-bit guests.
André
in current VMplayer you can only run 32bit nested VMs
Thanks for the clarification.
