Resolution of Guest (MS-DOS) display, resize window

Hello experts,

I have successfully installed DOS 7.1 in VMWare Player. The host O/S is Windows XP with screen resolutin set at 1920 x 1200.

The Virtual Machine window is small and cannot be resized.

If one selects full screen the VM window takes up the whole screen but does not change the size of the guest screen, or the size of the text, where the operating system (DOS) is running. That portion stays the same size, remains in the center of the screen while the borders all around it are black to the extremety of the screen, save for the VM Player title bat at the top center of the screen.

How can I increase the size of the VM screen/text?

Thanks very much!!!

Since there are no VMware Tools packages and/or video drivers for DOS, you cannot.

I have a similar problem / desire for vmware player. I want vmware player to distort the display when my guest is at 1024x768 and my host is at 1280x1024 so that the guest display will fill the screen without a black border. On a real physical monitor the OS does this when told. VMware player will not.

Hey man

It's really simple.

Just reduce the screen resolution in your host OS.
