Re: VMWare not starting

Ciao

It is not the correct place for these problems (there is a special session for VMware Player and VMware Workstation)
What operating system is VMware Player installed on (Windows or linux)?

It could be a problem related to some changes on the OS where Vmware Player is installed for example:
- the antivirus (try to disable it )
- Some new applications installed

What changes have there been?
There are errors or warnings in the event viewer or in the system log

Hi,

I have been using VMWare player 16 for some time now and yesterday all of a sudden it stopped working.

I would launch the app and nothing.

Checking in t he task manager, whenever I would launch the app, it would appear just for 1-2 seconds and then disappear.

I tried uninstalling the app and downloaded a fresh copy on the website.

But even the setup would appear just for 1-2 seconds when launched and the exit.

I tried downgrading and tried VMWare player 14 and 15, but still the same.

Regards,

Dhanish

@Dhaniiish

Simplest explanation is that you have VMware process hanging in the system.

You should include information on the Host.

There is always some log info somewhere. If there REALLY isn't then you have an undefined TEMP/TMP in Windows ... not sure if you might still have something in Event Viewer.
