Question regarding shared folders in linux guest

Hey,

i am running a centos 5.6 installation as guest on my windows 7 host.

After installing the vm-tools i am able to see my registered shares in the /mnt/hgfs folder.

But i have a few questions about the shared folders:

  1. Is it possible to change the uid and gid which will be used to mount the share?
  2. Can you change the mount location?
  3. How does the automount work? There are no hgfs specific commands in the /etc/fstab and /etc/rc.local files.
  4. Can you somehow controll the mounts from the guest?

Thanks & Regards
