Problems to install Windows server 2016 on VM workstation player 14

Hi evryone/ Bonjour à tout le monde

I'm new in the community, and a new user: So sorry in advance for the dumb question, but I can't find any rational answer..

I use VM workstation player 14 to learn a lot of things

I try to create a virtual machine (Windows server 2016) to import it later ont GNS3.

When I first boot the VM, the system tells it can't find any OS because ther's no image available.

I don't understand how to solve this.

On below, 2 images (My VM settings and an image of the problem.. Sorry it's in french...)

Thanx for taking time to read this post, thanx for your help

Hi,

First I wanted to tell you that you don't have to apologize, because no question is stupid. We all try to help each other and there are people who know more and others who know less, but we are all the same.

For your problem I found this post on Microsoft technet which is identical to your problem. It doesn't matter if the article is for windows 8, the problem is the same. Try following the solution.

Windows Server Setup on VMWare - No Images are available

Hi,

If my memory serves me well then you can get around this by not using the option "Easy Install" instead start with a custom VM and provide the .iso to the VM.
