Hello, I have a trouble with VMware player, when I try to install another version of windows7. I have a sony vaio vgn-nr11s, professional and win.7 74GO disc (with 50GB free). Trying to create the virtual machine I put 30GB of virtual space, but when you install another version of win.7 with the CD I get this message:
This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible. This host does not support Intel VT-x.
For more detailed information, see http://vmware.com/info?id=152
how? try another VMware or virtualbox. Thank you for your help, soon.
Welcome to the Community,
In order to run 64-bit guests, your physical system (CPU) has to support VT-x. According to the specs, your system has a T5250 Core 2 Duo Processor, which does not offer this feature.
