Problem installing Player for XP-Mode on new HDD

Had to replace a damaged hard-disk and try now to install the player on the new one. I had no problem installing the player.

Next I tried to download the VMware vCenter Converter Standalone. It seems that I cannot download it from the Web-page because I downloaded it already before. When I press the link "manually download" the Web-page jumps to the top showing the "Welcome .." with the link to the list of previous downloads. I then copied the previous install-file from the damaged to the new HDD and run the installation but this ends with

Error 29163. Could not copy file

C:\Users\....\AppData\Local\Temp\converter-client.xml

How can I install the Converter and afterwards also the Tools?

Thanks

1.) Had on the previous (now damaged) hard-disk WXP on W7prof with VMware player, it was superior to XP-Mode.

2) Replaced hard-disk with new one -> system recovery -> installed this time WXP on W7prof with VMware Workstation. Installation was possible and VM worked.

3) Performed 2nd system recovery on new hard-disk because of this processor-related issue. This time I tried to install for WXP on W7prof again the VMware Player because I preferred it. But now I am no longer able to download the vCenter Converter and trying to install it by copying it from the old damaged hard-disk to the new one is also not possible.

I would very much appreciate your help for getting the VMware Player again work with WXP on W7prof.

Thanks
