I have the Player running on a win7 host with a winXP guest. I would like for the Guest to remain running from day to day. However each day when I check on it it is happily in an off state. I verified the host had not been rebooted and the guest OS power options are "Never". How do I prevent my guest from being closed down?
Rebooting isn't necessary, it can be coused by power options of HOST OS, so try to change them to "never" too.
Well, those power options were also set to never. My final solution was to set the VM to run as a service. being windows 7 this creates something of a strange duck (google "Accessing Session 0 On Demand via the command line" for usefull info) but the machine has run for over a week without fail. granted, ESXi is likely preffered, but in an old console situation this is functional
