Playing game: 'Error in creating Sound Stream. Sound card disabled.'

Hi all,

I got a problem: When I startup the game Lord of the Rings Online I get an error message: Error in creating Sound Stream. Sound card disabled. The message log doesn't give me any more information.

I got a Win 7 64 bit SP1 host with VMWare player 4.0.1 and Win 7 64 bit SP1 guest. Also I installed latest version of VMWare tools. The game is installed on the guest and it's working perfectly except for the sound.

There doesn't seem to be a problem with the sound card when I play a cd, mp3 or Youtube, only when I startup the game. After exiting the game I can enable the card again and it's working again.

Can someone help me to track the source of this problem? I don't know where to look.

Thnx!
