Player doen't want run OVF

Hi,

I have exported virtual appliance from ESX 3.5 to OVF. I want open this file in vmware Player 2.5.2 but everytime when I open it, player is working but about 5 seconds it hide welcome screen where is Open button and show me menu on top side of window but i cannot start this virtual machine.

Is there any problem with exporting virtual machines to OVF and open it with player?

thank you

I am facing a similar problem. I created OVF of an existing VM. The existing VM still runs on the vmplayer but the ovf file does not start anything. My vmplayer is installed on Window XP. I dont even know how to debug it. VMplayer does not even generate any logs or gives any error message.

Any help?

How do you get it to even read an OVF ?

I am running Fedora 11 with VMware Player 2.5.3. When I try to "Open and Existing Virtual Machine" the accepted file format is *.vmx only. There is no option for *.ovf.

What am I missing?

Thank you,

Chris
