Host: XP pro; domain member
Guest: XP pro; stand alone
Target share: on 2000 server; domain member
The host and target share are both members of the same domain. The guest is a stand alone trying to access shared resources on the target share.
Normally in this case the member server should prompt for domain credentials before allow access to the share.
What is occurring is that it appears that the connection is made, (with no request for credentials), but there is nothing displayed, just an empty window.
Attempts to reset connections usually result in above or an error stating that the user has insufficient permissions to access the share.
Company policy states that VMs are not to be made members of the domain.
Is there anything anyone can suggest for my stand alone VMs to access my domain resources?
