Player 5.0

Best option, download Player 5.0 or the trial version of Workstation 9?  When I upgraded to Player 4.0, I just let Player upgrade itself, just wondering if it would offer any other features after the trial expires?

I'd consider to install VMware Workstation. Unless anything changed with version 9, you will be able to continue using features like the Virtual Network Editor, configure VM settings, leverage snapshots, ... after the trial period and only need to run the VM's from the included Player.
