Pass GPU from host to guest

Hi,

My computer has an nvidia quadro GPU and I would like to be able to see this hardware within my guest OS (ubuntu 16.04). I should be able to see it through the command "lspci" although it is not appearing. The reason I need this is to develop using the nvidia cuda platform and using the cudnn library. After following the installation process for this library, I am getting an error stating "no CUDA-capable device detected". I believe this is due to the fact that I am working inside of the vm (workstation 15 player).

Is it possible to give my guest access to the GPU?

No, it is not.  None of the hosted products support PCI passthrough, only ESXi.
