Older Version - Workstation Player 6.0 for Linux

Hi,

I've got a user who needs a copy of VMWare Workstation Player VERSION 6 installed in a new box with 18.04 LTS on it.

That was installed via a USB ISO because "Policy" (gurrrr) says the box can never go on the internet.  SO that being said, so much for using sudo apt install build-essential.  Anyway I went to GitHub and grabbed the zip for:

https://github.com/mkubecek/vmware-host-modules

What are the odds I can use that offline to get the new Bionic Beaver ready for a copy (If I can find it) of Workstation Player 6.0.

Cheers'

Dave

Just an FYI, Player version 6.0.6 was the latest build for Linux hosts for the 6.0x line.

The links are here:

https://customerconnect.vmware.com/downloads/info/slug/datacenter_download_archives/vmware_player/6_...

but ...

It won't let me download anything earlier then 12.x, for all the earlier versions, the download button points to the latest version.

This might be because I didn't register for earlier versions (hmm.. I think I did, but ..) or not.
