Noob question - How do I create an XP client on VistaHP host

Hi All,

My PC died. Had to get a new one real quickly. It has VistaHP. Quickbooks 2005 won't run on Vista. Was thinking of running XP in a Virtual Machine, instead of trying to dual boot. I don't understand, from reading the VMplayer page, what would one have to do to get an XP virtual machine going.

Hey that worked! Almost. I got XP installed in the easyvmx machine, but I can't seem to figure out how to get a shared folder to work.

I guess you need to map a network folder, which I know how to do. But my ethernet adapter in my guestOS is not working. I tried the Intel nic in both bridged and NAT.

I need to be able to get a couple of files from the outside world into, and out of, the guestOS.

Maybe I can try a USB drive...
