Newbie questions for VM Player

Yes I'm new to using theVMware products so some of my questions may seem obvious but hey I've got to start somewhere and I guess it's here - thats if I'm in the correct forum ! In short I'm trying to set up a test environment for playing around with and setting up a Red Hat Linux 6 Server on my Laptop in preperation for my RHCE exams.

So I've downloaded VM Player and an evaluation copy of Red Hat 6.0. I have been able to get install the Red Hat Server through VM Player but I'm now comming up with various problems and these are:

(1) No networking connectivity from Red Hat Server to the outside world. What do I need to do to rectify this please ?

(2) Where do I find the relavent X Windows client tools in VMware to display the Red Hat grapics ?

(3) Would I be correct in assuming that if I upgrade to VMware workstation then I can simulate setting up external disk devices on my Red Hat Server ?

Looking forward to your replies.

1. What connection do you use (bridget, NAT, host-only)?

2. I'm not sure what do you mean, install VMware Tools

for properly displaying eg. resizeing or install adequate drivers

under Red Hat

3. Look at manual http://www.vmware.com/pdf/ws71_manual.pdf,

in general Player and Workstation are the same product,

the differences cover GUI, some features etc.
