I have a big problem with the networking of the HOST PC when I install the VMWare Player 4.x
Setup:
Windows XP x64 SP2 updated with latest packages.
VMWare Player 4.0.1
NIC: Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx PCIx
Problem: After about 20hours of operations, network is not working on host computer. Any attempt to use a new connection from any application fails with the error "Network is down".
Removing the VMWare Player solved the problem!
Any ideas?
Have you contacted VMware support team for that? It would be better to have them handle it first.

VMware Player is a free product and is not supported via primary VMware Tech Support. The primary support for VMware Player that VMware provides other then any included product documentation or product documentation at their web site is their Knowledge Base or this forum which is handled mainly by volunteers not VMware employees although on occasion some will reply.
Excactly.
And the fact is that I had the same problem some time in the past, that I do not remember how it was solved.
