Mysterious Registry Key Player 16

My vmparport service in registry editor (Windows 10 20H2) lists vwdk.installers REG_MULTI_SZ MSI. What is this key? Why is it there?

Is it causing you an issue?

Google suggests that vmparport is the VMware Parallel Port driver which makes it possible to print from inside a guest OS through the host OS, and I guess that vwdk.installers is associated with how VMware install the components they need such as vmparport either on a host OS or in a guest OS.

Thanks for the reply scott28tt. No, it's not causing me a problem, but it seems to be in an unusual location! Doesn't MSI refer to a Windows Installer (which used to be called Microsoft Installer)? The vmparport service should be initiated by VMware, not by Windows. I may be wrong, of course!
