Hello,
I am running Debian 6 as a guest system on Ubuntu. I installed the guest additions within the virtual machine.
Every time I try to move the mouse out of the guest system, the mouse moves out of the VMWare Player a little bit and jumps back to the center of the guest system.
After a while the mouse gets released and is available in the host system (10 - 20 "jumps").
The faster I move the mouse the more "jumps" are needed to get out of the guest system.
This is working without problems in Debian 5.
When installing Debian 5 first and upgrading to Debian 6 the mouse is not working, the keyboard seems to work occasionally.
E.g. it is possible to send ctrl + alt + del and hit enter. but it receives the command only after pressing it 2-3 times.
Debian 6: 2.6.32-5-686
Ubuntu: 10.04
VMWare Player: 3.1.4 build-385536
Did you have this kind of problem?
Do you have an idea of how to solve this problem - especially the first one?
Greetings,
Philipp
It is not exactly answer, but I have noticed that
under Windows 7 host I have could smoothly
leave cursor from Ubuntu guest, on the other hand
I have need to press ctrl+alt to leave Slax guest.
Hi,
it seems like Ubuntu as a Host is the problem.
It is working fine on another machine (Win XP, for example)
Some people solved the problem by changing the graphical design of the VM (using an elder GTK skin)
But this did not work either.
Greetings,
Philipp
