How I can restart my password?

(Error while opening the virtual machine: You have tried to open this virtual machine too many times. Make sure your account and password are valid, then try again later.)

Hi,

don't you remember the password to access your virtual machine?

what operating system does the virtual machine have?

The password to access the virtual machine concerns the operating system. You need to look for some tutorials that show you how to reset your password.

Which VMware product are you using?

I use Workstation 12 PlayerWindows 10 Pro, I already used the W12 Player, but after a while without using it it seems that the password has expired or I forgot, but the fact that the ones I try do not access and I also cannot find where to reset the password.

I'm still not clear, have you forgotten the VMware password for an encrypted VM OR the Windows password for the guest OS inside your VM OR some other password?

my password does not access the virtual machine, nor does it let me change the username.

I would like to change or reactivate this password to star a Virtual machine in the VM Workstation 12 Player

OK, so now it is clear - you have an encrypted VM but you don’t have the password.

From a quick search online, recovery is not possible - however I can now move this thread to the correct area (as a moderator) to see if others can help.

I'm afraid that there's no way/workaround to access the VM without the correct credentials.
