Installing VMWare Player without Network

Hey folks,

i would like to install the latest VMWare Player (VMware-player-3.0.0-203739) without NAT & DHCP. But neither the Remove=Network -Property nor the Remove=Authd,NAT Proprty is working :(.

We tested it with the following command:

C:\VMware-player-3.0.0-203739.exe /qn REMOVE=Authd,NAT

Is the Remove-Property only working with a MSI?

thx

Mike

the silent install features in VMplayer 3.0.0 sem to be severly broken. No documentation is available either - or nobody has found it yet Smiley Sad

I would use a workaround instead.

Install silently and on next boot run a batch to uninstall NAT-service and DHCP-service like this

vnetlib.exe -- uninstall DHCP
vnetlib.exe -- uninstall NAT

see http://sanbarrow.com/network/cmdguide2workstation.html for details
