If you start VMPlayer from the command line is there a way to tell that the guest OS has finished starting?

Hi;

I'm trying to setup an automated build software package to launch VMplayer with a VM of our build environment. I want to then want to kick off a process in the guest OS on the vm, but i need to know when the guest OS has finished loading. Does VM Player or VMworkstation provide a notification when the guest OS has finished starting?

--There may be something in the VIX kit to do this, but there are a couple of things I can think of offhand...

o Timed kickoff - Time the VM startup to where TASKMGR goes to 99% idle and add ~5 seconds

o Eventlog message kickoff
