How to use expanded memory in a DOS 6.22 VM

New to the VMWare world.  I have set up a MSDOS 6.22VM that runs well.  However, I need expanded memory to run some old programs.  How to I install expanded memory and an EMS (Expanded Memory Specification)?  I am using the free VM Workstation 12.

In your DOS VM, run help emm386.exe for instructions on installing and configuring the EMM386 expanded memory manager.
