How to use dynamic instead of static RAM?

Hello,

 

I would like to know if it is possible to use the assigned size of RAM dynamically, instead statically. This is already for the CPU, but according to an applet on Mint 20 Cinnamon, when I use a VM, it use the full 18GB (statically), instead of using what is necessary with a max of 18GB (Dynamically):

The applet that I use on my M20C is Graphical Hardware monitor.

A lot of OSes initialise their memory on boot, not sure if there’s anything you can do on the VMware side with Workstation Player.
