How to report a bug, without an active support agreement?

Hello

Could someone direct me to the place to report a bug, when I don't have an active support agreement? It's not clear from the Defect Report page, because the link is broken.

I've already posted an issue in this forum - Increasing numbers (~200) of duplicate VMware audio devices shown in Ubuntu 20.04 (host) Settings, but received no help in nearly a month. However, from the behaviour, I suspect that it's a bug, rather than something that can be solved by a tweak of the settings.

I just added a comment to your other thread, VMTN is a user community forum.

VMware Workstation does not include any free support mechanism for problems such as the one you are experiencing.

I understand that. Unfortunately, I'm not in a financial position atm to pay for support.

Are you saying, from your experience, that the symptoms I'm experiencing are unlikely to be caused by a bug in the VMWare software? The operating system had a fresh install very recently, and the sound was auto-configured during installation.

I have no idea what the cause of your issue might be.

By the way, the application on the guest that is triggering the sound is using the PlaySound function, if this has any bearing on the way VMWare creates audio devices on the host.
