How to open fsl from vmware workstation

Hi,

I am new in vmware I wanted to use it to use fsl in windows 11.I have downloaded VMware Workstation 17 but still can not figure out how to open  fsl from there. Does some know the steps I have to do to open fsl using VMware as a visualization machine?

For those of us not terribly familiar with the term "fsl", could you explain what it is? It might help us point you in the right direction.

Hi, fsl is a library of analysis tops for FMRi, MRI and diffusion brain imaging data. It was initially thought for linux but it can now be used also in windows using a virtual machine.

So the solution at least as far as VMware technologies are concerned is all in all simple, deploy a suitably sized virtual machine with the GUEST operating system that you deem appropriate and then load those libraries.

Where do you download FSL from, and in what format is the downloaded content?

you donwload fsl from fsl.firing.ox.ac.uk and it is a python script (fsl installer.py).

Let me rephrase my question:

What is the actual download content, is it an application which installs on Linux, an application which installs on Windows, or a pre-configured VM which already contains an OS and the application?

Do you have some installation instructions that you have been asked to follow?
