How to license older version of VMWare Workstation Player?

Hi,

I found no information about how to install and license an older version of VMWare Workstation Player (15.5.0). I found the place to download it, but I am not sure how to get a valid license for it. Do I have to purchase the latest version and use that license key for the 15.5.0 Version? Thanks!

Did you ever get a resolution to this issue? I have the same problem.

You will have to contact VMware Sales, they are the only ones who can help you.  You can purchase the latest version and perform a downgrade to 1 version (i.e. purchase Wks 17 and downgrade to 16) online, but anything else you cannot do yourself.

Any particular reason you want ver 15?  I can understand either ver 10 (last to support 32-bit host OS's) or ver 12 (last to support older chipset).

Thanks for the information. I am running on a Win7 host for serial connectivity reasons in an industrial environment. As far as I could tell v.15 is the latest that will run on Win7 (I tried VMware17, would not install). I may have to find another connectivity method and upgrade hardware to a Win10 computer.
