If a supported Guest OS and VMware Tools are installed you can use the Shared Folders feature. You can look in the Help File for Shared Folders. Note the reason I stated "supported Guest OS" is in some cases even with VMware Tools are installed on an unsupported Guest OS the HGFS is problematic and my not have access to Shared Folders.
Or you can use standard SMB/CIFS Shares just as if between physical machines.
