How to access Guest OS as Host inside local OS

Hi,

Details: Local OS-WIN7 :: Guest OS: Win 2003 :: VM Player 3.1

i have installed VM Player 3.1 for a guest OS running on Win 2003.

I have a big application server running on this guest OS Win 2003.

Now i want to use this application server on my local OS by connecting thorugh its hostname or ip-address.

But somehow Internet is not working inside Guest OS (i have tried to connect with NAT, Bridged etc..).

In this case how can i connect this Guest OS server inside my local OS (calling for eg. http://vmserverhost:10041/wps/myportal).

Please help me.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

Exactly by using bridged or host-only. Please choose one (bridged only of you have a physical network connection) and post "ipconfig /all" from host and guest. Disable all firewalls while testing. Set the host connection (either the physical one if you use bridged or VMnet1 if you use "host-only" to "private").
