I currently have a Dell Laptop with i7 Core processsor. I installed VMPlayer to work on developing client server software development. I am starting to get into Sharepoint 2010. I read the Sharepoint spec and it requires 64 bit processor 4 cores and 3000 GHz speed.
Can I install the Sharepoint on a VMPlayer on this 32 bit laptop? Can I use a type of VM player installed on my laptop to simulate a 64 bit process to install 64 bit OS like Server 2008 and get SharePoint 2010 installed?
If not, what VM products do I need or bad news, get a right type of laptop? I am a mobile consultant and do all my work on my company's laptop.
If you have experience of install SharePoint on VM and yes on laptop for development, your recommendation and help is greatly appreciated.
