I am completely stuck in this problem, hope someone can help me
I am running Windows 7 with VMware Player 4.0.1 build-528992.
I have a three virtual machines installed: two ubuntu 10.10 and one windows xp
From a couple of days all my virtual machines started experiencing this strange problem. No one of them is able to resolve the hostname, so
ping a.b.c.d
works, while
ping www.google.com
return ping: unknown host www.google.com (it takes a couple of seconds)
following this thread http://communities.vmware.com/thread/283141 I discovered that just copying the virtual machine in another laptop solve the issue (on that the other laptop), but still I have no way to run the virtual machine in my own laptop (copying back the virtual machine as suggested in the previous thread does not work for me)
any help is really appreciated
