Hello,
I have issues with the Workstation Player 17.0.2 in Ubuntu. I would open a separate topic for each but I guess I just dump it all here maybe someone has a solution for any of it. All the described issues are working on a windows host.
Host system is Ubuntu 23.04, I have a windows 10 as a guest.
In the player Help menu non of the first 4 menus are working, documentation, get help etc. Clicking on it and nothing is happening. My default browser if Firefox, I suppose it should open the browser but it is not happening.
I found no way to hide toolbar or the bottom bar with the hints so my screen space is reduced in fullscreen windowed mode.
When the host system goes to suspended (sleep) mode the guest system crashes and once host is back from sleep there is a black screen that never recovers, I have to force restart the guest. This was working with windows host I could just put the host to sleep and get back to work later.
Images on clipboard are not shared between host and guest, only text. If I do a screenshot in host I cannot paste in guest. This was working with a windows host.
I have issues with sound from the guest system. When the CPU load inside the guest is above certain value and there is any system sound or any sound at all it is crackling and muting. I have 8 cores assigned from a Ryzen 2700X cpu with AMD-V virtualization enabled still feels like it is not enough to cope with the sound within the guest. I do not have any issues with sound on the host system. I had the very same guest under windows host and never had issues with sound.
