To access the xp mode of windows 7 does one need to utilize workstation 7

or will vmplayer 6.01?  Will vmplayer work with fusion 3.0?

I am not sure about your question in regards to vmplayer and fusion3 will work really does not make sense both perform the same function of providing a host virtualization platform - the difference is fusion is for the MAC and vmplayer works with windows and Linux -
