I am using the new Version 16 and a windows 10 VM trying the latest Dev build.
The memory is sett to 8GB as the picture but once starting the machine 12 GB were taken from the reserve memory, 10 seconds later another GB was reserved, is that Normal?
The reserved memory went from 36.2 to 48.5 which means 12.3GB was reserved for the VM, and a few seconds later it became 49.4 which means 13.3GB that is too much for an 8GB VM
The VMware excusable is only reserving 8GB as the picture.
I set the graphic memory to 768MB and still the VM reserving 12 and then 13 GB
EDIT; I changed the RAM to 4 GB it reserved more than 8GB, it apparently reserving 4GB more
Found it, I disabled the accelerated 3d graphic settings and it now only reserved the assigned memory, so it is the 3D setting,
4GB will be reserved no matter what you choose for the graphic memory, it is a bug and 4GB is too much, this should be looked at
