Error when attempting to run vmplayer 7.1.2 on CentOS 7 -- "Could not open /dev/vmmon: No such file or directory."

I'm looking to get vmplayer working on CentOS 7.  I ran the .bundle as root and then when I try to create a vm it fails out with the error "Could not open /dev/vmmon: No such file or directory."

Is CentOS 7 not supported?

In my searches I did not see any fix.  I would expect it to just work ...

vmplayer 7.1.2 does work for me on CentOS 7.

The problem was secure boot needs to be disabled in BIOS.
