You could try to browse through that long thread (>70 posts as of this writing) which has taken a life of its own. Some of the replies may or may not apply to you.

In(05) vmx Monitor Mode: ULM
Turn off Hyper-V, follow this KB

Make sure that Memory Integrity is also OFF.
Windows Security -> Device Security -> Core Isolation details
When Hyper-V is removed, Monitor Mode should show as CPL0 instead of ULM. CPL0 should have better performance over ULM as well.
