Is is possible to assign seperate USB keyboard or mouse to a GuestOS? I've done some searching around, but I haven't been able to find much on the subject.
If you set the config option "usb.generic.allowHID = 1" in your vmx file, you have the ability to connect USB keyboards and mice to a specific VM as a USB passthrough device. This would disconnect it from the host, and make it exclusive to the VM.
