I am running windows 7 x64 ultimate as the host and XP x32 as a guest so I can play some older games. The games are in the era of win 98/2000 so they still run on windows xp. The problem that I am having is that the games often run at 320x200 or some odd resolution like 640x350 (EGA) and 640x200 - 320x200 (CGA)
I want to be able to set the vmware player so that any resolution under say 640x480. It will automatically double the resolution. Is there a way to set this behavior? This seems to be the default behavior for the Windows Virtual PC.
Oh it should also need to be transparent to the OS. Right now if I try to manually resize the screen the games will through direct draw exception and quit.
